This 10 day Uganda safari takes you to the famous parks of Uganda including Murchison Falls, Queen Elizabeth, Bwindi Impenetrable, Kibale forest and Lake Mburo national park.

Various activities are carried out during this safari such as gorilla and chimp trekking, birding, boat cruise, game drives and nature walks among others.

Detailed itinerary.

Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Kampala.

Upon your arrival at the airport, you will be welcomed and transferred to the hotel for a relaxation and your morning breakfast. From there you can proceed to Kampala for a city tour where you will get to see a number of attractions such as the independence monument, the bahai temple, the kasubi tombs to mention but a few. From there you can get back to your hotel where you will spend your overnight. You will refresh up, have your dinner and then rest.

Day 2: Kampala to Murchison Falls.

After your morning breakfast, you will be picked up by your guide and then you will embark on your journey of over 6 hours to reach the national park. This is the largest national park in Uganda  which has  got the strongest water falls so far that have attracted a lot of people from whole over the world.

Along your way, you will get a stopover at the Ziwa rhino sanctuary in Nakasongola. You will proceed with your journey and have another stop over at the Karuma falls. Procced with your journey to Murchison falls where you will have the last stop over in Masindi town to have your lunch. You will then embark on your journey and finally within a few minutes you will be arriving at the entrance in Murchison falls. You will be welcomed and directed to the lodge where to spend an overnight. You will refresh, relax and then wait for the next day.

Day 3: Game drive  and then transfer to kibale national park.

After grabbing your morning breakfast, your guide will pick you from your hotel and then transfer you to the park for a morning game drive. During this activity, you will get to see a number of animals such as the lions, leopards, elephants and so on. From there you will embark on your journey to kibale national park where you will have your enroute lunch experience in fort portal town. Upon your arrival at the park, you will be welcomed and then checked in and then directed to the lodge where to have an over night.

Day 4:  Kibale forest and morning chimpanzee trekking.

After your morning breakfast, you will be picked up by your guide who will transfer you to the park headquarters for a briefing about trekking rules and the regulations. After, you will be divided into groups of 8 and each group will be allocated a chimpanzee family to search for. This will take you over one hour or more depending on the place where the families are allocated. Once you get these chimpanzees, you will be given ample time to stay with them as you are having fun and taking photos. You will then get to the lodge, have lunch and then prepare for an evening bigodi nature walk. Here you will get to interact with the local people you find there and get to know what they do to earn a leaving. You can then get back to the lodge, refresh up have dinner and then rest.

Day 5: Transfer to queen Elizabeth national park and evening  game drive.

After grabbing your morning coffee, your trained guide will pick you up and then embark on your journey to queen Elizabeth national park. Along your way, you will get to see the beautiful sceneries, the rolling hills and so on. Along your way, you will have an enroute lunch in fort portal town and then continue with your journey where you will be arriving within a shortest time. You will have an evening game drive as you head to your hotel for the check in. Upon your arrival, you will be welcomed and then directed to the lodge where to have an overnight. You will refresh up, have your dinner and rest.

Day 6: Forest walk, chimpanzee trekking in queen Elizabeth.

Enjoy your break fast and then set off to the jungle with your guide for a forest walk in Maramagambo forest. During this walk, you will get to see some birds, reptiles, bats and so on. From there you will continue to Kyambura gorge and trek the chimpanzees with the help of the ranger guide. Once you get the chimps, you will be given some time to spend with the chimps and that is over one hour. You can then get back to the lodge have lunch and then prepare for an evening game drive. During this game drive, you will get to see a number of animals such as the lions, leopards, the elephants and so on. You can then head back to the lodge, refresh up and then rest.

Day 7: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park.

After having your morning breakfast, your guide will pick you from the hotel and then transfer you to Bwindi impenetrable national park via the ishasha sector  to have your best experience and adventure for your trip as you are seeing the tree climbing lions. Along your way, you will get to see the rolling hills of kigezi and the beautiful land scapes. As you continue with your journey, you will get an enroute lunch and soon you will be arriving to your final destination. Upon your arrival, you will be welcomed and directed to the lodge where to have an overnight. You will refresh up, have   your dinner and rest.

Day 8: Gorilla trekking.

After having your morning breakfast, your guide will pick you up from the hotel and then transfer you to the park headquarters where you will first have a briefing with your trained ranger guide about the rules and the regulations of trekking gorillas. From there, you will be divided into the groups of 8 members. Each group will be given a gorilla family to trek. This is because Bwindi has got several gorilla families and sectors. From there, you will enter into the jungle and then start the trekking, once you get these gorilla families, you will be given ample time of over one hour to stay with these primates as you are having fun and taking photos. From there you will get back to the lodge, have your lunch and then get back to the park for an evening batwa community walk. Here, you will get to interact with these local people also known as the pygmies. You will get to know what activity they always do to earn a leaving. After this activity, you will get back to the lodge, have a refreshment, take your dinner and then rest.

Day 9: Transfer to Lake Mburo, Game drive.

After having your morning breakfast, you will be picked up by your guide who will transfer you to lake Mburo national park which is just 6 hours to arrive at the park. Along your way, you will have to see the rolling hills of kabale, the beautiful sceneries and so on. As you continue with your journey, you will have an enroute lunch in Mbarara at igongo cultural center. You will then soon arrive in the park finally. Upon your arrival, you will be welcomed at the entrance, and then directed to the lodge where to have an overnight.

You will then be transferred for an evening game drive where you will get to see a number of animals such as the warthogs, the hippos, the zebras and so on. From there, you can get back to the lodge, relax, have dinner and then rest.

Day 10: Game drive and transfer to Kampala.

After your morning breakfast, you will be picked up by your guide who transfer you to the park for a morning game drive. You will get to see a number of animals that you did not get a chance to see before such as the zebras, the lions, bush bucks and so on. From there you can get back to the lodge have your lunch and then set off back to Kampala. This will mark the end of your trip.
