Tour Details.

This 6 day Uganda Safari takes you to the western and southwestern Uganda in Kibale Forests, Queen Elizabeth and Bwindi Impenetrable national park. You should expect to do gorilla and chimpanzee trekking, game drives and boat cruise on this safari.

Detailed itinerary.

 Day 1: Kampala to Kibale.

Upon your arrival at the Entebbe airport, your guide will pick you and transfer you to the hotel for a refreshment and relaxation from your flight as you take your morning tea. From there you will embark on your 6-hour journey to kibale forest national park. Along your way, you will have a stop over at the equator where you will have fun and take photos at the same time. You will then continue with your journey and have another stopover in fort portal town where you have your lunch from.

After having your lunch, you will continue with your journey and finally you will reach your final destination. You will be welcomed at the park entrance and then directed to the lodge where to spend an overnight.

Day 2: Chimp trekking and transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP.

After taking your morning breakfast, you will be picked up by your guide from the hotel with your packed lunch and then transfer you to the park headquarters where you will first have your briefing about the rules and the regulations of trekking chimpanzees. From there you will be divided into groups of 8 members and then each group members will be allocated a gorilla family to trek. You will then enter into the jungle and start the trekking. This will take you over one hour to trek. However, it might go beyond because some of the chimpanzee families may be far and difficult to find which will take you more time to find. Once you get the chimpanzees, you are given over one hour to stay with them as you are taking photos and having fun. From there, you can rest as you are having your lunch. From there you will embark on your journey to queen Elizabeth national park which is located in kasese district in western Uganda. This will take you over 3 to 4 hours to arrive at the park.

Upon your arrival, you will be welcomed at the park entrance and then directed to the lodge where to have an overnight. You will refresh up, have dinner and then rest.

Day 3: Game drive and boat cruise.

After having your morning coffee, your guide will pick you up and transfer you to the park for the morning game drive. During this activity, you will get to see a number of animals such as elephants, the lions, leopards, warthogs and so on. From there, you will get bark to the lodge, have lunch and then rest as you prepare for the afternoon boat cruise. While on this boat, you will get  to see a number animals such as the crocodiles, elephants, lions and so on. From there, you will get back to the lodge, refresh up, have dinner and then rest.

Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi.

After grabbing your morning breakfast, your guide will pick you from the hotel and then transfer you Bwindi impenetrable national park to have your best experience and adventure for the mountain gorillas. Along your way, you will get to see the rolling hills of kigezi and the beautiful land scapes around the area. As you continue with your journey, you will get an enroute lunch and soon you will be arriving to your final destination. Upon your arrival, you will be welcomed and directed to the lodge where to have an over night. You will get your dinner and rest.

Day 5: Gorilla trekking.

After having your morning breakfast, your guide will pick you up from the hotel and then transfer you to the park headquarters where you will first have a briefing with your ranger guide about the rules and the regulations of trekking. From there, you will be divided into the groups of 8 members each. Each group will be allocated a gorilla family to trek. From there, you will enter into the jungle and then start the trekking, once you get these gorilla families, you will be given ample time of over one hour to stay with these primates as you are having fun and taking photos. From there you will get back to the lodge, have your lunch and then get back to the par for an evening batwa community walk. Here, you will get to interact with these local people also known as the pygmies. You will get to know what activity they always do to earn a leaving and survive in this world. After the evening walk, you will get back to the lodge, have a refreshment, take your dinner and then rest.

Day 6: back to Kampala.

Grab your self an early morning cup of coffee and then embark your journey back to Kampala. This will mark the end of your trip.
