This is an exceptional package to help you explore Rwanda’s primates and Lake Kivu. Get to see the endangered mountain gorillas which are almost like human in Volcanoes national park and chimps in Nyungwe forest National Park. The trip starts and ends in Kigali.

Detailed Itinerary.

Day 1: Transfer to Nyungwe National park.

You will be picked up by a driver guide and proceed with a rewarding scenic driver to Nyungwe national park with stopovers at Nyanza kings palace for a cultural visit, Murambi genocide museum. Reach Nyungwe national park in the evening.

Meal plan: breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Day 2:  chimpanzee trekking.

In the morning after briefing, you set off for chimpanzee trekking experience which is a rewarding life time memorable activity. Back to the hotel for lunch and in the evening have a forest walk enjoying the panoramic views.

Day 3: Transfer to the Shores of Lake Kivu.

Early morning we proceed to Gisenyi the upper shores of Lake Kivu and enjoy the evening with singing fishermen on the lake with scenic views as the sun sets off.

Day 4: Boat cruise and proceed to Volcanoes national park.

Morning boat cruise to the hot springs and then transfer to Volcanoes National park.

Day 5: gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park.

Have breakfast and head to the park headquarters with packed lunch, have briefing from park rangers and then proceed with the ultimate gorilla experience activity. Stay with gorillas for an hour after finding them for photography and learning about their life style. In the evening we shall have a community walk to Ibywachu to know about the Banyarwanda culture.

Day 6: Golden Monkey Tracking and back to Kigali.

Early morning you shall visit the forest for golden monkey tracking and enjoy them play. Transfer to Kigali earlier and visit the Gisozi genocide memorial plus local markets. Be transferred to the airport for your departure flight.
