Detailed itinerary.

Day 1: Transfer to Kigali.

You will be welcomed by our guide upon arrival and transfer to Kigali city. You will go for a city tour and introduced to the history of the land of a thousand hills depending on your time of arrival to the country. Dinner and overnight at your booked hotel in Rwanda.

Accommodation: Five to Five Hotel/ frame Tree Village/ Milles Collinese Hotel

Meal plan: Half board.

Day 2: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park.

Following an early morning breakfast, you will be picked up from the hotel and driven to the western province and visit the Nyanza palace, Butare Museum and Murambi Memorial and lunch en route. When you reach Nyungwe National park, you will enjoy a canopy walk inside the impenetrable forest.  Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking and colobus monkey trekking

After breakfast, report to the park Headquarters in Nyungwe forest for briefing. You are advised to carry packed lunch and enough water for chimp trekking because the trek may even last for more than 5 hours. Enjoy seeing the primates playing, feeding while taking close observations and photographs. In  the afternoon, you will go for colobus monkey trekking where you will see other primates like vervet monkeys, blue hoest monkeys among others. Dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Canopy and Nature walks.

After breakfast, you will enjoy a canopy walk within in the forest and be ready to experience the beautiful sights and sounds of different bird species such as the Rwenzori Turacos. Get back for lunch and freshening up. After lunch, you can go for a self guided walk around the nearby environment and the Kamiranzovu waterfalls. Get back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Drive to Lake Kivu- Kibuye.

Following breakfast, you will drive to Lake Kivu as you enl=joy the breathtaking views of the Virunga Mountains and the green vegetation. You will have lunch and then proceed for a boat cruise or relaxing on the shores of the lake.- Kibuye town. Dinner and overnight at the booked lodge.

Day 6: Transfer to Volcanoes and golden monkey trekking.

After breakfast, you will drive to Volcanoes national park while enjoying the fascinating views of the country along the way.  Have lunch en route and then proceed to the park and join in golden monkey trekking. These are the most endangered species of primates in Parc Des Volcans.  In the evening, you can go for a cultural walk to Iby’wachu for cultural entertainment by the Banyarwanda community. Dinner and slumber at the lodge.

Day 7: Mountain Gorilla trekking.

After an early morning breakfast, you will drive to the park Headquarter for briefing and grouping. The trek begins off at 8:00 am and may take from 0ne-eight hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. Therefore you are advised to carry your packed lunch and enough water. A maximum time of one hour is offered for photography, observations and enjoying their ways of living. Trek back for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Transfer to Kigali and departure.

Enjoy your morning tasty breakfast and drive to Kigali- to the airport to catch up with your booked flight back home.
