The 3 Days Mountain Karisimbi Hiking Tour gives you an opportunity to explore Kigali city as well as the highest volcanic mountain in the Virunga Massif. Detailed Itinerary.

Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park.

Pick up from Kigali by your driver guide, have a city tour where you will visit local markets and the genocide museum. Transfer to volcanoes national park which is suited in the North of Rwanda in Ruhengeri. Check-in, dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Hiking Mountain Karisimbi.

After breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters for briefing and get to know about mountain karisimbi. Embark on the hiking with a team of mountain guides and porters. Overnight on the Mountain at 3700m above the sea level being the mountain is not easy to hike to the summit in one day.

Meal plan: breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Day 3: Hike to the Top and Transfer back to Kigali.

From the last day’s destination, hike to the top of the mountain and be rewarded with the good views of a caldera and the surrounding volcanoes like mountain Bisoke. Later descend back to the starting point where you will find your driver guide to transfer you back to Kigali.
